    EVO400 EVO X Turbocharger Tech
We received our first batch of Ti turbochargers for Technical inspection .

Firstly we finally revert to a clockwise rotation turbo system great news for the guys & girls whom love to tune . First things first , the new EVO X turbo comes in 3 variants, two inconel models and the Ti version . The Turbine housing is on the same flange as the old TD05 reverse rotation units that were produced for the EVO's 4-9 .

The new X units have a
12T Turbine housing made larger from the previous 10.5t units and packs a 12 blade turbine wheel as the previous models ,a single flap waste-gate system is also retained as is a separate turbine / waste-gate discharge .

The actuator is now mounted so no water ingress will be possible which is a better design than the models previous .We will give you the stock pressure's etc etc once we have the units stripped .

Moving onto the compressor cover you first notice a very nice smooth inlet to the turbocharger to allow for a clear uninterrupted flow path for inlet air .The compressor cover discharge is a very small 40-mm OD and is a very small area compared to previous models . Its a well designed compressor cover and leads to a good GRPN GRPA turbo for the rally variants .

Once we have the unit stripped and along side a EVO 9 71 unit we can give a better overview of Technical spec and further more what is going to be possible in the near future .
